Today, Google launched its first street view outside US - Australia, accessed from, lets people explore the country at ground level for the first time with little more than a computer and an internet connection.

Google will launch a New Zealand edition of its controversial Street View application within the next few months after agreeing to protect the identity of people filmed in public places, following talks with the privacy commissioner.

Evidences from various sources shown that Google’s Street View army is marching in many major New Zealand cities, including capital city Wellington. In one case, the driver of the Google Street View was kind enough to let this guy take close-up pictures of the car - even the equipments inside the car.
