15 Years of Yahoo! Logo 1994-2009

我们曾回顾了雅虎主页15年变迁之路，今天我们再来回顾下，作为公司重要标志的 Yahoo! Logo 的变化历程（1994－2009）。

1994，没有标志。一开始雅虎并没有标志，事实上，那时也还不叫雅虎，大卫和杨致远将他们创造的网站目录，称之为”杰里网站指南”。直到那年末，雅虎才成为公司的正式名称。

1995，跳跃的”Y”形象。和许多公司一样，当人们需要用东西来装饰办公室的门和公司的T恤衫时，催生了这个跳跃的”Y”型拟人化形象。标志由 David Shen 设计，蓝色的圆圈代表世界，Y 代表雅虎，寓意跨越世界。如果幸运的话，现在你还能会从一些雅虎老员工的名片上看到这个标志。
这年晚些时候，Shen 与广告代理公司 Organic Online 合作，在原图上加上雅虎公司名称，并添加了个感叹号”!”。最后他们确定使用 Able 字体和紫色

1995，在网络上走红。前面设计的公司标志，还只用在日常办公中。雅虎觉得应该在网站的网页上加上个标志，于是创作了这个如今看来有点丑陋的 Logo 。为什么采用明亮的红色呢？这不只是一个审美的选择。选择它，还因为红色会更可靠地显示在不同的监视器和电脑上。在当时，其他颜色的显示总有些问题。另外，雅虎也很喜欢红色的勇气。

1996，新的一年，新的标志。经过多次调整和改进，雅虎在1996年1月1日，在所有网站推出了红色 Yahoo! 标志。

1996，内部使用紫色。虽然红色已经成为面向用户的雅虎形象，但公司内部，还是重新设计了标志。他们将跳跃的”Y”型形象去掉，精简徽标为我们现在看到的经典的紫色版本。从那之后，这个标志就出现在各类海报上代表雅虎。

1997－2004，椭圆形的紫色 Y 。这是雅虎的缩写标志， Y + 感叹号。1997年，它最初设计是用在雅虎工具栏上的一个按钮，链接到雅虎招牌页面。因为完整的雅虎标志太宽了，不适合。2004年，雅虎与广告代理公司 Ogilvy 合作重新设计了”Y !”，确定了一个白色的”Y”在一个紫色的椭圆中和一个紫色”!”的版本，作为雅虎官方的缩写标志。

2009，统一的紫色。雅虎推出了具有新的紫色 Logo 的新主页。并将此标志应用到网络的每个页面、公司通信和所有的合作伙伴关系，使雅虎用户、广告客户和雇员，形成统一的紫色标志体验。雅虎已斥资1亿美元进行全球营销活动，来加强雅虎品牌的宣传推广。

百度315消费者权益保护日

这就是百度的315消费者权益保护日logo，真是个难看！百度因该换Graphic designer了。

Google logo -- Carnival

Today Google Brazil launched it's Carnival logo. Actually, I went down to Wellington for the Cuba Carnival yesterday. New Zealand is a small country, didn't get its logo. Good for you Brazil! 

It was a great day! The sun came out, and the Carnival lived up to its reputation as New Zealand’s largest street celebration, with an estimated crowd of around 150,000. It reminded me of life back in Asia where you see people everywhere!

Google logo -- Australia Day 2009

 Today is Chinese new year, and is also Australia Day , official national day of Australia. Happy day for both countries.

Google logo -- Christmas 2008

I didn't get what Google holiday logos were supposed to be telling us. Looks like Google was actually trying to tell a story with their logos. They added one more logo each day from 21th to 25th.

The letters are difficult to see but its true that Google doesn't really need their letters to be legible since the colors are so recognizable.

Google strange logo

This logo was on Google since yesterday, it seems an old guy is making some toys. Click on it, leads me to a page says "Happy Holidays" in many diferent languages and 1 and 2 in bold,  same logo sitting below 1 and three dots under 2.

The logo doesn't make any sense to me at all, can someone tell me?

Christmas is getting near all of us, New Zealand's web giant TradeMe has launched its Christmas doodle logos. Trademe.co.nz is the NZ second busiest website just right after google.co.nz

Google logo -- Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members.
