.cn is the second largest Top Level Domains

The VeriSign Domain report of December 2008 says that .cn, the country code top level domain for China, is now the most popular Top Level Domain ahead of .de (Germany) and .uk (United Kingdom).

In fact, web domain names with a .cn suffix now outnumber even .net, .org and .info domains, making .cn the second most popular TLD(Top-Level Domains) on the Internet after .com.

Currently, the largest TLDs in terms of base size are .com, .cn, .de, .net, .org, .uk, .info, .nl (The Netherlands), .eu (European Union), and .biz.

In Apirl 2008, China has surpassed the United States to become the world's largest internet-using population.
